Building up spiritual energy
“The conference itself will help us deepen our understanding about the theme of the church for this year [and] will also give us another perspective on how we can commune with other people, groups, with different existing communities around or outside the parish/diocese,” Ferly Delos Santos Mangilit, one of the youth organizers, explained.
Through community liturgies and Eucharistic celebrations as well indigenous performances, the event aims to build up spiritual and cultural energy and contextualize the theologies of communion and mission to make it more effective.
“The conference aims to target different audiences, youth, religious, catechists, BECs, pastoral and lay,” she added.
Participants will have exposure trips and experience networking with different church groups, LGUs, organizations, indigenous people, people from different religions, etc.
Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle (on the Maryhill conference) and Cotabato Archbishop Orlando Cardinal Quevedo (on the Maryshore conference) will be the main sharers for the event.
