MANILA, Feb. 2, 2017 – The Marian Encounter Seminar (Module 1) to be held on Feb. 26 at the University of Sto. Tomas Tan Yan Kee Student Center from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. is inspired by the Church’s theme for the Year of the Parish: “Parish as Communion of Communities”.
Collectively, the talks will underscore the role of Mary as a model of Christian discipleship, a virtue that invigorates faith life in the parish.
With the theme “Mary in the Word of God”, the event will also focus on other topics such as: “Mary, the New Eve,” and “The Relevance of Mary in the Light of the Sacred Scriptures.”
The speakers are:
- Msgr. Claro “Matt” Garcia, parish priest of St. Alphonsus de Liguori Parish, Magallanes Village, Makati City;
- Fr. Isidro Abano, O.P.
- Fr. Gil Alinsangan, SSP
Mass presider is Fr. Jesus Jose Bustillo, parish priest, of Nuestra Señora de Salvacion Parish, Sta. Mesa, Manila.
The Missionaries of Mary (M.O.M.), a lay Marian community, has been organizing the said seminar in partnership with Radio Veritas (846 AM).
The seminar fee of Php150.00 includes lunch and snacks.
